Practice Propeller Safety: Turn off the Engine Before Swimming

Even a propeller on an idling engine can have the potential to cause damage. Before anyone swims near a boat with a propeller, the captain MUST turn off the engine(s). The same goes for picking up a fallen skier, board rider or tuber. Turn off the engine before deploying a boarding ladder.
