Brief Summary

There was a time when Hatteras was producing boats in the 32'-53' (9.75 m-16.15 m) range, but their lower profit margins, and to a lesser degree their Spartan accommodation level of class, sent those molds to the ranks of the forgotten, except by a select few old school boaters. Fast-forward a few decades, and the notion that the wives control the checkbooks has given way to adding luxury cruisability to the sportfish yacht. Thus, the convertible is born and continues to thrive. This Hatteras 54 represents what is now the smallest offering from this timeless company's line of convertibles, and if that causes you to think of it as "entry level" then that's your problem... no one else will. It's much too loaded and much too high end for that.
