Tahoe designed its 1950 deck boat specifically for outboard power. She comes standard with a 115-hp Mercury outboard and a 150 hp engine is an available upgrade. We tested with the optional power and the boat hit a top speed of 49.6 mph at 5800 rpm. She planed in 3.5 seconds and had plenty of grunt out of the hole. With a 115-hp outboard, Tahoe saw 41.4 mph with a light load and 34.55 mph with a heavy load.
