Monte Carlo Yachts has created an enclosed flybridge for its 66, 70, 76, and 80-foot models, known as the Skylounge. Skylounge models gain entertainment space in the main deck salon by eliminating the lower helm without sacrificing much on the flybridge. While each model is unique in how the space can be utilized, we can give an idea based on our previous inspection of the MCY 70.

Monte Carlo Yachts has new flybridge models for 2020: the 66, 70, 76, and 80. BoatTEST has already tested the 70 and 76. During our tests we were made aware of the company’s intention to produce these yachts with an optional enclosed flybridge known as the Skylounge. One advantage of the Skylounge is the elimination of the lower helm in the salon thus providing more entertainment space. We are getting a first look at the Skylounge editions for these yachts.
The Skylounge concept is a relatively inexpensive way to gain space and functionality when compared to buying a bigger hull. The first model of the new Monte Carlo Yachts Collection, the MCY 70 Skylounge, will be presented as a premier at the Miami Yacht Show 2020 in February.
Customization is the key word with these yachts, and for that reason, no two that we’ve seen are the same. We are enthusiastic to see the variations that owners choose with the additional space provided across the new Skylounge fleet.
