Brief Summary
With one step aboard the Calandra, it became clear why Bryant Boats didn’t give her the typical moniker consisting of numbers. That would have been a sure way to have her pre-judged against other 23-footers in class, and that would be a shame. There’s much more volume to this boat than the typical 23’ (7.01 m), such as more cockpit depth which allows a rated capacity of 13 people even with her standard 8’6” (2.59 m) beam. We also were impressed by both her fit-and-finish and her handling characteristics. This was one boat deserving of a closer inspection… so she got one.
