Brief Summary

The Lund 219 Pro VGL is a big, deep, multi-species fishing machine that comes well-equipped for serious inland angling. Live wells bow and stern, four movable swivel fishing seats and lots of locking rod storage, along with a Lowrance fish finder, make her a turn-key fishing machine, and the tall dual windshields protect anglers headed out on chilly northern lakes early and late in the season. Plus, a power-rating of 300 horsepower means she can get to the fish very fast, a big plus for tournament anglers--or get home ahead of a storm, a plus for all boaters.

    Captain's Report

Lund 219 Pro-V GL running shot
With the base 225-hp motor, the 219 Pro-V GL hits speeds approaching 50 mph.

The flagship of Lund’s fiberglass fleet, the 219 Pro-V GL is designed for serious fishing with forward and aft casting areas, lots of rod storage and virtually all the gear a fisherman needs to land the big one.Standard equipment includes Pro Ride seats, the Pro Long Plus Livewell System, two baitwells and Lund’s SportTrak accessory brackets. Buyers can choose among three outboard motors. With a weight of 4,662 lbs. (2,115 kg) on the trailer, the 219 Pro-V GL can be towed by even a mid-sized truck like a Nissan Frontier or a similarly sized SUV as well.

    Major Features

    IPS3 Bottom Design.

The Integrated Power Strake design has a center keel that transitions aft to a flat pad to deliver clean water to the propeller. The bottom also has a deeper V and additional strakes to knock down spray and create a smoother ride with a flatter wake.

    Pro Long Plus Livewells.

Lund designed this system with a freshwater pickup integrated into the hull bottom. It forces a steady flow of water into the livewell while the boat is running. In the 219 Pro-V GL, the forward livewell is 31” (.79 m) long with a 20-gallon (76 L) capacity, while the rear one is 51” (1.30 m) long and holds 33 gallons (125 L).

    Removable Aft Storage Pods.

These portable lockers provide versatile storage for owners. A two-hour trip with a buddy doesn’t require as much gear so leave home the pods and open up the cockpit.

    SportTrak System.

Rails built into the coaming on each side of the boat let fisherman put their rod holders wherever they want or set frequently reached for gear like pliers and a knife in the accessory brackets.

    Lifetime Warranty.

The keyword to Lund’s Lifetime Limited Warranty is “Transferrable”. There are a lot of limited lifetime warrantees in the marine industry, but not that many can be transferred to a second owner. For specifics, see the warranty details.

    Features Inspection

    The Cockpit

All four of the 219 Pro-V GL’s pedestal-mounted Pro Ride seats can be moved around the boat for fishing comfort. There are two receptacles in the raised aft deck just ahead of the outboard motor and one centrally positioned in the bow. The boat comes with seven total seat bases. The 60-gallon (227 L) fuel tank is located beneath the cockpit sole and there is storage in outboard lockers on each side. The aforementioned removable pods secure in the aft corners of the cockpit.

    Lund 219 Pro-V GL carpet
The carpet in the aft starboard corner can unsnap to make room for one of the removable storage pods.
Lund 219 Pro-V GL portable locker
When the portable locker is in place, it provides added capacity and could do double-duty as a bench seat.
Lund 219 Pro-V GL aft livewell
The aft livewell has a 33-gallon (125 L) capacity to keep fish alive and there are receptacles on each side of the stern for a pedestal-mounted casting chair.
Lund 219 Pro-V GL removable bin
Anglers who like to re-stock gear for different fish will like the removable bins in the aft corners of the cockpit on each side.

    The Helm.

The driver and co-pilot are protected abaft the full-height walkthrough windshield and angled footrests allow them to brace properly when running in choppy water. Finished with dark paint and black upholstery the helm has space for optional electronics to the right side of the steering wheel. Gauges are closely grouped around the wheel and there’s a tray on top of the panel that would be a good place for a driver to set his cell phone.

    On the starboard gunwale

, the throttle/shift control should be comfortable to operate and the accessory switches are in an angled panel just ahead. There’s an Infinity stereo with MP3 plug-in and Bluetooth as well as two 12-volt power plugs. In the port console are a glove box and a handrail.

    Lund 219 Pro-V GL helm
The 219 Pro-V GL comes standard with tilt hydraulic steering, while the Lowrance fishfinder and stereo remote are an option.
    Lund 219 Pro-V GL switches
Putting all the switches near the throttle means the driver can control the motor and accessories with one hand while keeping the other one on the wheel.
Lund 219 Pro-V GL floor plan
Note the grabrails in the cockpit so passengers can secure themselves if the ride gets rough.

    The Bow

The 219 Pro-V GL’s bow is wide open for fishing with a centrally positioned receptacle for a seat and plenty of space to move. The livewell and baitwell are just ahead of the helm console and ahead to starboard, there’s storage beneath the deck. To port, a longer in-deck locker has more available space. There’s on-deck storage for a few fishing rods with a larger locking area under the center of the sole. Expandable netting on the gunwales is great for storing fenders and docklines. The boat comes pre-rigged for a trolling motor with a bow trim switch panel.

Lund 219 Pro-V GL forward livewell
The forward livewell and baitwell are lighted for night fishing as well.
Lund 219 Pro-V GL port bow locker
A gas strut supports the hatch for the port bow locker so anglers can use two hands when retrieving gear.
Lund 219 Pro-V GL on deck rack
This on-deck rack keeps a couple of rods in reach for quick deployment. There’s also locking rod storage beneath the bow casting platform.

Lund 219 Pro-V GL outboard mounting location
The raised outboard mounting location ensures the proper height for the keel pad on the 219 Pro-V GL’s IPS3 bottom design to deliver clean water to the propeller.

    Options to Consider

    • Snap-in carpet
    • Washdown system
    • Mercury SmartCraft gauges
    • Tandem trailer
    • Bimini top

    The MSRP starts at $64,350.

Lund 219 Pro-V GL hull colors
The 219 Pro-V GL is available in eight hull color combinations, including Red polyflake/White gelcoat.
Lund 219 Pro-V GL pre rigged
The 219 Pro-V GL comes pre-rigged for a trolling motor, including a control panel in the bow.

The 219 Pro-V GL is a serious multi-species fishing boat that’s priced and equipped accordingly. Four Pro Ride seats ensure that everyone on board travels comfortably and there’s plenty of space for anglers to fish.Fore and aft Pro Long Plus livewells and baitwells are positioned for convenience and Lund’s SportTrak system puts rods and gear where fishermen want them. Portable storage tubs add to the 219 Pro-V GL’s versatility and there’s plenty of space for gear and rods throughout the boat. The choice of three available outboard motors should satisfy a broad range of needs for speed and as mentioned above, the boat/trailer combination weighs about 4,700 lbs. (2,132 kg), which makes the package attractive for towing.
