Captain's Report

The 2300 SC Premier Edition features a revolutionary new docking system that enables virtually anyone to slide their boat in and out of spaces and in-between boats, which is usually the hardest thing to do especially for novice boaters. All the driver simply has to do is align the boat parallel to the dock and move the joystick in the direction he wants the boat to slide. The Control Max will be featured on Maxum’s new 2100, 2400, and 2600 Sport Deck models.
This revolutionary new system was developed in conjuction with Mercury Marine.
The 2300 is built with Uni-Max rigid Matrix construction. The deep-V Max Trac hull design ensures reliable handling, stability, and a smoother ride. She features good overnighting accommodations for two with a convertible V-berth.
The cockpit has good seating room for six or seven and features ski stowage in the sole. There’s good transom storage for fenders or lines and there’s also a shower located at the stern for anyone who wants to be refreshed after a long day in the sun. The integral swim platform is wide and features a hide-away ladder and handrail for safe, easy reboarding.
The helm features wood accents and all the controls and switches are within easy reach. The steering wheel is padded for extra comfort while driving and all the instruments feature stainless steel bezels. The helmsman’s chair features a bucket swivel pedestal seat with a flip up bolster. There’s also a JVC AM/FM stereo system with CD player and speakers to play your favorite tunes while cruising around.
The cabin has overnighting accommodations for two with a V-berth that has filler cushions and a removable table. There’s also a galley that features a sink and a pull-out igloo cooler. In addition, this 23 footer features a portable head with a privacy curtain. The cabin also has good stowage space under the forward cushions and features four overhead lights.
When it comes to performance the 2300 SC Premier Edition is stable and delivers precise handling. Her forward chine steps improve turning and top-end speed. The Control Max not only helps when docking, it provides better maneuverability whenever you need it. Whether you’re loading the boat on a trailer or picking up a skier in the water, the Control Max will provide a greater amount of accuracy when tight corners or tricky situations arise, or precise placement of the boat is necessary.
