Overview

This all-new center console is offered in eight color options and provides seating and comfort for nine. With her new generation Evinrude E-TEC G2 200 HP engine, which provides numerous convenient features beneficial to first time owners. Fishing is her core, but she also functions as a day boat for swimming, entertaining, and the overall enjoyment of a day offshore or anchored near the beach. At 3,280 lbs. (1,487 kg) dry and approximately 4,221 lbs. (1,915 kg) equipped, she has a modest draft of 14" (.36 m), allowing her the flexibility of entry into shallow water locations and near beach anchoring.

Features Inspection

Construction. The hull of the 219 CC is hand laid fiberglass with an engineered custom fiberglass stringer system and composite transom. Her designers developed her with a single bailing system, where all of the drains in the boat, both the high volume cockpit deck drains and box drains, feed into a single manifold in the stern, which empties out of one stainless steel thru-hull fitting. All of the thru-hull fittings are of forged stainless steel.

Best in Class Drain System. By running all drains into one manifold, the Sea Pro 219 Deep V CC has only one thru-hull fitting -- and it has a shut off valve as it should. This is the most complete system we have seen in a center console boat, and we really see it in any boat below 40’. By eliminating thru-hull fittings, the safety of the boat has been greatly enhanced.

There is rod storage beneath the gunwales along with a stainless steel toe rail for angling leverage. A pressurized, ocean blue 30 gallon (114 L) lighted livewell is located in the transom on the centerline, and a 90-quart insulated cooler is located to port abaft of the transom. The 219 Deep V CC is offered with an optional 12-gallon (45 L) freshwater tank, which supplies the washdown nozzle in the port side sink box next to the livewell, with a raw water washdown standard. Forward, there are two 120-quart fishboxes and an optional 150-quart floor fishbox.

Performance Review

Sea Pro 219 Deep V CC running

Sea Pro 219 Deep V CC accelerating to plane.

Our test of the Sea Pro 219 Deep V CC was conducted in a fresh water lake. The winds were calm, and it was a warm and clear day. Our total boat weight with two onboard was approximately 4,221 lbs. (1,915 kg). She has a deadrise of 17.5-degrees.

Powered with our Evinrude E-TEC G2 200 HP engine, we reached a top speed of 44 miles per hour at a full throttle 5850 rpm. At this speed, we were burning 17.2 gallons per hour with an economy of 2.56 miles per gallon.

Best Cruise. Dialing back to 4000 rpm, we achieved our best economy at 27.5 miles per hour, burning 7.25 gallons per hour. This gave us a fuel economy of 3.8 miles per gallon, and, keeping 10% of our 85-gallon (322 L) fuel capacity in reserve, this gave us a range of 290 statute miles.

Once on plane and trimmed up, the visibility while seated and with the bolster down, from the bow to the horizon, was unobstructed. The operation, stability, and turning characteristics of the 219 Deep V CC were in keeping with a center console of her size.

Observations

This new model from Sea Pro comes with a Lifetime hardware warranty, and 5-year stem to stern warranty (excluding electronics), in addition to the aforementioned transferable hull warranty. She is a fuel-efficient center console that is easily trailerable for both fishing and a day on the water with the family. With an array of standard features, her options, such as the fiberglass T-top with tempered-glass windshield, complete bolster package and underwater lights are features that would add to her versatility and enjoyment.
