353' $275 Million Benetti Luminosity

Luminosity is 353' (108 m) long, sleeps 27 guests in 22 staterooms, has a crew of 37 in 22 cabins, and has a reported top speed of 17 knots.  She is said to be able to travel 8,000 miles at 10 knots.  She reportedly has a value of $275,000,000, and cost $25 million to operate per year.

Initially, the yacht was commissioned by Kutayba Alghanim, as an extravagant replacement for his previous yacht, Samar. However, due to some contractual and delivery disagreements, Alghanim reportedly rejected delivery of the yacht.

Subsequently, the yacht Luminosity found a new owner in the hands of Andrey Guryev, the Chairman of Phosagro. As a Russian business tycoon and oligarch, Guryev is known as the majority shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PhosAgro, one of the world’s leading producers of phosphate-based fertilizers.
