Max Interior Volume and Long Legs
Absolute’s Navetta 73 was one of the first boats equipped with Volvo Penta’s 1,000-hp IPS1350 pod propulsion systems. We hit a top speed of 23 knots and best cruise came at 1000 rpm and 8.7 knots where she had a range of 918.8 nautical miles. The captain travels in a high-backed helm seat and a full Garmin navigation suite includes a 16” (40.64 cm) GPSMap 8616 XVS chartplotter, a 4’ (1.22 m) open-array radar, an autopilot with a reactor hydraulic corepack with Smart Pump controls, a VHF AIS marine radio and an engine-room camera. The Chris-Craft Launch 31 GT that’s rated for 10 passengers is as plush and finely built as any boat in class, and is better than most. But, of course, they’re sold out for quite some time. Recently, the company's sales manager said that boat dealers should be offering a discount for people who put a deposit down now. He points out that by ordering in advance, an owner can have exactly the options wanted and not have to take and pay for options selected in advance by the dealer. That also allows buyers to get the colors and personalization wanted. When paying the kind of money boats cost these days, that seems like a good approach to us. More...
