Neptunus Yachts 650E

Veteran Shipwrights Using

Modern Best Practices

Neptunus Yachts is Canada’s premier builder of high-quality yachts ranging from 55’ to 75’ (16.76 m to 22.86 m) and has been building yachts for more than 30 years. The yard is known for its craftsmanship and well-found boats, such as the Neptunus 650E which has a CE Category A-Ocean rating. Located just across the American border, a short drive from Niagara Falls, the Neptunus yard has become home to some of the best Canadian shipwrights that have grown up over the years in Ontario. With only a few companies in North America building large motoryachts, Neptunus should be on anyone’s short list of brands to investigate. The 2021 Neptunus 650E features a new galley-aft layout, the company’s most open and spacious layout yet. More...

Have You Ever Called 911 from the Water?

On Sept. 30, a lone 57-year-old man was in what was reported to be an 18’ (5.48 m) fiberglass boat that swamped and quickly capsized. The boat was in choppy seas ½ mile off a beach near Boston, MA. The operator was wearing a PFD and was able to call 911 while floating in the water, asking for rescue. Have you ever called 911 from land, much less in the water? If so, you can imagine what happened – or didn’t happen – next. More...
