Arcadia Yachts to Showcase 3 Special Yachts at Cannes
The Cannes Yachting Festival will be an opportunity for Arcadia Yachts to showcase the A96, the brand’s latest project, among other new models.
The yacht features some innovative touches including a salon that opens almost completely to the sea, forming a massive entertaining and dining area that flows seamlessly into the aft deck. She accommodates 10 guests plus crew, and the “house” can operate without generator power for up to 8 hours, per the company.
The interior design is by Igor Lobanov. The yacht is powered by four Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines to guarantee easy maneuverability.
The yacht was named the Robb Report’s “Best Motoryacht of the Year” earlier this year.
The Arcadia Yard will also showcase the Sherpa 60 and the Sherpa 80. As the series name hints, these are expedition-style yachts built to go where ever the owners’ wishes take them.
The 18.67-meter-long Sherpa 60 is characterized by mission flexibility, with a layout that privileges the stern cockpit, living area and cabins, thanks in part to the 5.60-metre beam. The shipyard offers owners a choice of configurations. Two Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines give the yacht long-range cruising capabilities, with a cruising speed of 17 knots and a top speed over 20 knots, per the company.
The Sherpa 80 is 78’7” (24 m) long and 23’ (7 m) wide. The feeling of proximity to the water and the surrounding environment is best experienced in the 700 square foot (65 square m) cockpit, which is connected to the stern platform by a short flight of steps.
The topside Sunlounge has a bar area and abundant open-air seating. In the most powerful configuration (two Volvo Penta IPS-1.350 engines), the yacht has a top speed of over 23 knots, per the company, and the reported range at 10 knots is over 1,400 nautical miles.
All three models reflect the brand’s ability to give the concept of slow yachting a contemporary twist that displays both connection with nature and technological innovation to enhance onboard comfort.
“This French boat show is an unmissable event for the whole industry and this year we’ll be showing three highly successful models that perfectly exemplify our offering of ‘slow’ yachting, which respects nature and encourages contemplation and the enjoyment of every moment of a cruise,” says Ugo Pellegrino, who founded Arcadia Yachts in 2008.
The Cannes Yachting Festival is set for September 10 to 15.
