Brabus Marine Shadow 500:

Putting the Driver in Total Control

brabus-shadow500-071320.png

The upgraded Brabus steering wheel looks like something out of a high-end sportscar.

Putting controls for functions like engine and tab trim, the stereo and the bow thruster on the steering wheel of a high-performance boat not only gives the vessel a luxury automobile feel, it’s smart. It puts the captain in more control because he/she never has to take his/her hands off the wheel to make adjustments. Brabus called on its experience with custom automobiles to put this element of control in its 500 Shadow, which is based on an Axopar 28, a twin-stepped performance boat that tops out at 62.7 mph with twin 250-hp Mercury outboards in our tests. Nordhavn N60:

LRC w/Redundant Systems

nordhavn-n60-071320.png

Nordhavn N60

The Nordhavn N60 is a trawler designed, built and equipped to safely cross oceans and be at sea for weeks at a time. A plethora of redundant systems give the enclosed main helm a commercial or military feel. The Portugese bridge’s wing controls improve the operator’s view when docking and there’s a separate captain’s cabin just abaft the main helm. With two staterooms and a well-appointed galley and salon, she should be comfortable for two couples to enjoy an extended cruise. More...

frontrunner-39cc-071320.png

Offshore anglers should like what they see in the 39 CC’s cockpit.

Anyone wondering about the mission of the new Front Runner 39 CC need only look at the center-console’s cockpit. All 39 CCs come with two 65-gallon (246.05-L) livewells in the corners with a 95-gallon (359.61-L) version in the center. There are two sea chests equipped with three pumps each and those pumps have high- and low-speed pickups. Sunreef 80:

Sailing Cat w/an Open Plan

sunreef-80-071320.png

The Sunreef 80’s salon is in a word, huge.

The Sunreef 80 is a massive sailing catamaran that can play dual roles as a private yacht or charter vessel equally well. The builder says the superstructure was designed with a fresh concept that created a salon plan with potential for lots of customization and a focus on open areas. The central lounging space offers panoramic views and opens to the bow. Up top, the flybridge has 581.25 sq. feet (54 sq. m.) of gathering and entertainment space. Belowdecks, Sunreef can offer as many as four staterooms plus crew quarters. More...

Jeanneau NC 1095:

Express Cruiser w/Family Features

jeanneau-nc1095-071320.png

Jeanneau NC 1095

Jeanneau’s NC 1095 is designed to pack features found in larger cruisers into her 34’5” (10.49 m) overall length. That she has a 10’11” (3.33 m) beam certainly helps the builder provide three berths below and the dinette can be converted to a fourth. Passengers should appreciate the fore and aft al fresco spaces. Her size, features and twin outboards instead of sterndrives or inboards make her an affordable family cruiser. More...
