Azimut Magellano 66

Adventure Yacht w/Style

In the Magellano 66, Azimut uses carbon fiber in the flying bridge, optional hardtop and swim platform. It helps create a lower center of gravity. On the bottom, Azimut employs what it calls the Dual Mode Hull with an upper chine that provides a wider beam at low speeds. At higher speed, the water flow separates from the lower chine, reducing the friction and increasing range and fuel efficiency. She has helm stations on the main and upper decks and below, she sleeps 10 in four staterooms plus crew quarters. More...

Chaparral 23 Surf

Power Trim a Major Bonus

As we’ve said previously, the Chaparral 23 Surf combines the amenities of a luxury bowrider with a forward-facing drive, wake-shaping devices and a ballast system to create a family-focused wakesurf boat. One of the biggest differences between the 23 Surf and an inboard-powered boat is the ability to trim the stern drive. A 23’ (7 m) inboard-powered boat that we tested with a 430-hp engine hit a top speed of 42.1 mph, but this 23-footer with a 300-hp 6-2-liter MerCruiser Bravo Four S that could be trimmed, we hit a top speed of 44.7 mph. Satellite TV Antenna: KVH TracVision UHD7

The high-performance 60 cm (24 in) TracVision UHD7 antenna delivers satellite TV entertainment at sea with the ultra-high definition of 4K for DIRECTV plus built-in support for DISH Network and Bell TV. That’s why it won the Satellite TV Antenna category in the 2021 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Awards program. BoatTEST’s founder used an earlier version of this model and was amazed at the reception quality. More...

Boston Whaler 380 Realm

4x 300s or 2x 600s for Power

While most of the Boston Whaler lineup would be considered a fishing boat to which cruising amenities can be added, the 380 Realm is the flagship of a series that’s designed first as a day boat. Fishing accessories are actually optional add-ons. She comes standard with a hardtop that has a sunroof and board rack and the cockpit bar has everything needed for whipping up lunch. A port passageway leads to the bow that has space for a crowd to enjoy some privacy. Below, she can sleep two with the dinette converted to a berth. The private head has a separate shower instead of having to pull up the faucet. More...

Fleming 78

LRC w/Accommodating Flying Bridge

During a long passage, hopefully, the weather will be nice enough for the captain and guests on the Fleming 78 to spend most of the time on the flying bridge. But the 78’s large, well-equipped flybridge will come in handy when entertaining aboard. There’s plenty of seating to port and around a large table to starboard. The fully-equipped bar has an electric grill, counter space for food prep and serving plus a sink and two refrigerators. A fiberglass hardtop that’s 6’9” (2.06 m) off the deck provides shade. Outboard Engine Buyers' Guide

Honda 60s

What’s the Difference?

A look at our Outboard Engine Buyer’s Guide shows that there are two 60-hp Honda outboards. They have the same 1.0-liter displacement, identical 12-valve SOHC powerhead. The BFP 60 makes 5 more amps than the BF60, but there’s one other number that makes all the difference. Hint, you need to scroll down a little to find it. More...

Key Largo

Well-Designed and Executed Everglades 235CC

Powered with a Yamaha 300-hp outboard, this versatile center console has fishing amenities to satisfy most anglers and enough seating for six people. Many standard features are included on this boat and details are often taken to the next level – nothing is done halfway. Digital steering and a deep-V hull make running this boat across chop at 40 mph remarkably comfortable, compared to some other boats of this size. This excellent boat can be had with a membership in the Sovereign Boat Club. Check out all this boat’s features and low membership fee here...
