Bering Yachts Launches New B145 Explorer in Antalya, Turkey
Bering Yachts has launched a newly built B145 yacht, M/Y Heeus, at the Bering shipyard in Antalya, Turkey. The 145’ (44.2 m) explorer yacht is the first hull in the flagship B145 range of expedition vessels.
Constructed with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the B145 Explorer is a semi-custom platform designed and constructed by an in-house team of engineers and naval architects. The yacht has an ice belt that lets her travel to the coldest places on earth.

Commenting on the launch, Bering Yachts founder Alexei Mikhailov said: “We are very proud to have this first hull in the model range to be launched on the water. This will be the beginning of a new chapter for the Bering Yachts company.”
Heeus can accommodate 12 guests and up to 10 crew members. The vessel has a six-cabin layout on three decks and a flybridge with a jacuzzi and bar zone. The master stateroom is located on the main deck toward the bow, with glass windows measuring more than 102.26 sq. ft. (9.5 sq. m).
A salon with a dining area for 12 people and a lounge area are located on the main deck. Another dining table is on the upper deck in the sky lounge. Heeus also features a beach club and 269 sq. ft. (25 sq. m) garage zone. The yacht also has four crew cabins and captain’s quarters.
Hybrid Propulsion
Heeus has a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The superyacht features a hybrid propulsion system with a propeller driven by electric motors charged by a bank of batteries. The banks are recharged by high-efficiency, variable-speed DC generators. Docking and mooring is possible in the electric mode. The B145 has a fuel capacity of 25,254.85 gals. (95,600 L), offering an autonomous range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles.
