by Milly Robinson
The industry has celebrated several high-profile launches and deliveries, including the world's first fuel-cell superyacht and Dragonfly, the highly anticipated, 142.1-meter Lürssen. But in the world of superyacht construction, there's always something to look forward to.
Project Deep Blue | 134.2m
Project Deep Blue is a 134.2-meter motor yacht currently under construction by Lürssen, with delivery expected in 2025. The last reported sighting of Project Deep Blue was in 2023 when she was at the yard's facility in Bremen, Germany, preparing to have her bow segment attached. While no further updates have been confirmed, Project Deep Blue is one of the most closely watched builds at the yard.
The yacht, which is expected to have a gross tonnage of around 9,000 GT, is one of Lürssen's first projects to use the builder's new slipway which is able to accommodate much heavier loads.
According to BOATPro, Lürssen has 13 projects in build including Project Deep Blue. She is expected to see delivery in 2025.
