Bimini Big Game Club Reopens

The Bahamas’ Bimini Big Game Club has been one of the featured destinations for boaters and anglers for decades.

One of the Caribbean’s top adventure hotels has reopened. The Bimini Big Game Club on the Bahamas island of Bimini. The hotel, which first opened in the 1930s, is famous for hosting anglers and watersports enthusiasts from around the world. Guests have included Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King as well as Ernest Hemingway.

Full Service

The club’s marina has 75 slips and can accommodate yachts up to 140’ (42.67m) long. The median low water depth is 9’ (2.74m) and the marina has 50- and 100-amp shorepower with city water and full Wi-Fi coverage.

Fishing at the Big Game Club is offered for bonefishing, reef fishing or heading offshore. There are charters and guides available through the facility. Other activities include SCUBA diving and snorkeling

Resort accommodations include individual rooms with king, or queen beds, cottage rooms with a kitchenette and island bar and penthouse suites with a full living room. For meals, there’s casual dining at the Big Game Club Bar and Grill and at Sharkie’s Bar & Grill.

 

Bonefishing is one of the popular angling activities offered at the club.

COVID-19 Guidelines

Effective November 1, all incoming visitors must present a COVID-19 RT-PCR negative test no later than 5 days after the date of arrival. No quarantine period is required. Once a person has the negative result, he or she will be required to apply for a Bahamas Health Travel Visa and upload the result. An automated response will be provided upon completion and only those who receive a green color-coded reply can travel.
