Bluegame BG54 Yacht Makes Debut

The Bluegame BG54 can reach 40 mph (35 knots) with its Volvo IPS propulsion system.

Bluegame Yachts staged the world premiere of the BG54 at the Palma International Boat Show. The new model was on display alongside a BGX60, the smaller sister of the BGX70 that revolutionized the Italian brand.

BG Range Expansion

The Bluegame BG54, which is the fourth yacht in the BG series, has a large social area in the bow.

Available with two or three cabins, the BG54 is the newest model in the brand’s more traditional BG range, which was expanded last year by the addition of the BG72, an open version of the BGX70. At 54’4” (16.56 m) and with an almost 16’ (4.88 m) beam, the BG54 sits between the BG42 and BG62 models that helped relaunch the brand under Sanlorenzo’s ownership.

Volvo IPS Power

The BG54 features a large aft swim platform that comfortably fits multiple sun pads. The model features the Volvo IPS propulsion system, which allows the engines (twin D11-IPS800 or D11-IPS950s) to sit below the aft platform and create more room inside the lower deck.

Spacious Cockpit

The open cockpit provides abundant seating in the Bluegame BG54 and is protected by a tinted hardtop.

Up three steps is the open cockpit that features lounges on all four sides around a flexible table, while forward is a bench-style helm seat facing a reverse-angled windshield. The hardtop covers the helm and cockpit seating areas and even offers a small sun pad on top.

Luxury Accommodations

Several steps lead to the sleek and modern starboard-side galley on the Bluegame BG54.

The walkaround design features side passages to the bow, which has a forward-facing sofa and a large island sun pad. Steps from the helm area to the lower deck lead to the galley to starboard. Guests also have day access to the port head shared by the forward cabin.

Cabin Options

Two cabin layouts are offered for buyers of the Bluegame BG54 in either a master suite or two guest cabins.

At amidships, an owner can opt for a full-beam or two smaller guest cabins, with the ensuite or shared bathroom to port.
