Boaters Have Close Encounter w/Great White Shark

A Great White shark recently gave some boaters in the Gulf of Mexico a memory they won’t forget any time soon. It actually swam up and bit one of the three Mercury outboards on the boat.

The 34’ SeaVee center console, Offshore Therapy, was about 60 miles off Tampa in search of some snapper. Veteran angler Erika Almond said the crew had a good chum slick going when the shark showed up.
