The Boomershine family's Great Loop adventure hits a snag when their trusty boat, Seashine, develops a rather sickly starboard engine, affectionately nicknamed "Cream." The diagnosis? Bad fuel injectors. The solution? Replacement parts located all the way in Buffalo, New York, while they're docked in Hastings, Canada.

What follows is a whirlwind journey involving a taxi ride to Peterborough, a rental car, and an impromptu decision to turn this mechanical mishap into a family adventure. Next, it's off to Niagara Falls for some sightseeing and a hearty breakfast that could feed a small army (looking at you, Rex!). After successfully navigating the border, securing the precious parts, and heading back to Canada, they're greeted by the incredible kindness of their marina neighbors who throw them a welcome-back cookout.
