Boston Whaler Introduces 240 Vantage

Boston Whaler calls the new 240 Vantage a “Swiss army knife of boating.”

Boston Whaler unveiled its newest model, the 240 Vantage, in a Facebook Live event during which members of boat’s development team demonstrated the key features and functionality. Company president Nick Stickler said, “The 240 is ideal for boaters who want to take advantage of everything the water has to offer.”

Multi-Tasker

The 240 Vantage is designed to fish, cruise, hang out at the sandbar and tow watersports with equal effectiveness. The seating in the cockpit and bow is designed for easy conversation and there’s a foldaway bench across the stern for when the fish are biting. Across from the helm, Boston Whaler’s portside lounge seat converts to multiple positions including forward-facing, aft oriented or laid flat.

The bow has forward-facing lounges on the front of each console plus a table.

The 240 Vantage has a standard enclosed head and sink that make a day on the water a little easier on everyone. An optional fiberglass prep center in the cockpit could be a handy place to prepare snacks or cut bait. The boat is also available with a windlass and a beach-boarding ladder to make it easier to pull up to a sandbar.

For those who can’t leap from the bow to the beach in one shot, there’s an optional beach boarding ladder.

Fishing Equipped

For angling, there’s a large insulated in-floor box to keep fish chilled and an optional livewell on the transom keeps bait at the ready. Stainless-steel rod holders are located throughout the boat and there’s enclosed rod storage in the bow. The boat’s deep freeboard provides security during a run to the fishing grounds and her tall windshield and hardtop provide protection from the elements. Watersports enthusiasts can choose an optional tower with board racks.

The cockpit has a small galley with a and to port is Boston Whaler’s versatile portside lounge.

Standard power is a 250-hp Mercury Verado V-8 outboard and options range up to 400 hp. At the helm, optional Raymarine electronics are available.
