CL Yachts’ New CLX96 to Debut in May
CL Yachts is preparing to unveil its CLX96 in Hong Kong, where the builder has a head office and a service yard in Lai Chi Kok. The yacht is currently in the nearby shipyard in the Doumen district of Zhuhai west of Hong Kong ahead of its much-anticipated showing in Hong Kong.
The CLX96, which is represented by Camper & Nicholsons, was put into the water in December and had its first sea trials in January. Since then, fit-out has been completed and further sea trials have taken place.
Promoted by CL Yachts as a ‘Sea Activity Vessel’ (SAV), the motoryacht is the new brand’s largest build, superseding the CLB88 that launched in 2020.
Milan-based Jozeph Forakis is responsible for the concept and exterior and interior design of the RINA-certified CLX96, while naval architecture and structural engineering is by Americans Earl Alfaro and Albert Horsmon, respectively.
