Monday #1

Cruisers Yachts 46 Cantius

Luxury Accommodations for 4

Cruisers Yachts designed the 46 Cantius’ accommodations to be comfortable for two couples or a small family with a pair of large private cabins with en suite heads. Taking things a step further, each cabin has a separate shower, making the VIP in the bow just as inviting as the aft master. On the main deck, the glass bulkhead connects the salon and cockpit. Formula 500 SSC

Luxury Crossover Yacht w/Quad 600s

Initial publicity on the new Formula 500 SSC was centered on her quad V12 outboards, but there is much more to this boat than 2,400 horses on the stern. Her ride and handling can only be achieved with a displacement of nearly 50,000 lbs. (22,727 kg) and bottom by John Adams who broke the code on hull shape years ago. We got one of the first opportunities to test and thoroughly inspect the Formula 500 SSC, so take a look at Capt. Steve’s report to get a good feel for this noteworthy boat. We tested her in offshore conditions with 33” (83.82 cm) prop sets intended to be a good compromise between top speed and cruising-range fuel efficiency. We recorded a top speed of 66.4 mph at 6400 rpm and we noted best cruise at 5000 rpm, where she got .4 mpg and a range of 249 statute miles, with a 10% fuel reserve. More...

Aquila 70 Luxury Power Cat

Finely Finished, Flexible Catamaran

With the 70 Luxury Power Cat, Aquila and its exclusive dealer MarineMax wanted to do more than simply build a larger boat. They also wanted to make a strong entrée into the luxury catamaran yacht market. In addition to offering the new model with three, four or five staterooms plus crew quarters, they virtually banished the sight of fiberglass from the interior, covering it with the materials one would expect to find on a high-quality monohull motoryacht. The overhead is Ultraleather and on the bulkheads is manufactured Alpi wood, which is more durable. Brand names in the galley include Wolf, Fisher & Paykel and Gaggeneau. More...

Fairline Targa 45 GT

Next-Level Express Yacht

With her open main-deck plan, the Fairline Targa 45 GT is designed for entertaining both inside and out at the same time to accommodate a crowd of guests. She’s also for the couple whose kids are getting close to leaving the nest and want to spend as much quality time as possible before they depart, or maybe just to enjoy the grandkids before they get interested in other diversions. She’s also for the buyer coming from a smaller, similarly styled boat that just wants more space and to venture a little farther from home in a boat with a higher level of fit and finish. To increase utility, she has a tender garage, something not often found on this size boat. More...

Sea Ray Sundancer 320

A Great Weekend is in the Cards

Sea Ray’s Sundancer 320 is a comfortable, fun boat to drive, a spacious entertaining platform with one of the largest bow areas in class and a capable overnighter for weekend getaways. She’s a prime example of Sea Ray’s emphasis on premium features and utility in its ‘Dancer line. Her interior is remarkable for a boat so small.  She’s available with sterndrive or outboard power and in the standard configuration with open sides above the windshield (which can be buttoned-up with isinglass when it's chilly or rainy) or as a Coupe with full side windows.
