Premium, Steel-Hulled Motoryacht

Linssen Grand Sturdy 45.0 AC

The steel-hulled Linssen Grand Sturdy 45.0 AC is a motoryacht designed for displacement-speed cruising Europe’s rivers, canals and rugged coastline from the Med to Norway’s fjords. As such, she is economical to operate. She can sleep six. The Dutch manufacturer calls her a “penthouse on the water.” The use of large windows in the salon and her exquisite joinery work create an elegant, nautical feel that veteran boaters will appreciate. For privacy, the master and VIP staterooms are accessed from stairs at opposite ends of the salon, making this boat ideal for two cruising couples or a family. Headroom exceeds 6’4” (1.97 m) throughout. This is a premium vessel, designed for specific work and the type of owner who wants to do some “smell-the-roses” cruising. We think she is ideal for East Coast or Great Loop cruising in style. More...

Cruisers Yachts 50 Cantius:

Choose 2 or 3 Staterooms

cruisers-50cantius-080320.png

The master stateroom on the 50 Cantius.

In the master stateroom on the Cruisers Yachts 50 Cantius, designers did away with a traditional headboard, replacing it with a bulkhead adorned with stone surface decorations on each side of a central mirror – something that we have rarely seen in this size boat. The mirror works with the large windows on each side to make the cabin feel even larger than it is. Cruisers Yachts offers the 50 Cantius with two or three staterooms, which makes the boat more attractive to a wider audience. On the main deck, the cockpit, galley and salon are all on the same level, creating a large gathering space for entertaining. More...

Manitou 25 X-Plode XT SHP

If anyone has any doubts about the Manitou 25 X-Plode XT SHP being a serious high-performance pontoon, take a look at her powered by twin 400-hp Mercury Racing Verado 400R supercharged V-6 outboards. She can handle all those ponies because her Sport Handling Package (SHP) includes positive angle lifting strakes and Barracuda nose cones on all three of her pontoons. BoattestLEASING

Do You Drive a Leased Car?

leased-car-080320.png

70% of the Mercedes, BMW and Lexus automobiles on the road are leased, and for good reason – they are expensive, and depreciate rapidly. Likewise, boat leasing makes more sense for many people than buying new – less cash down, lower monthly payment, no depreciation, no warranty concerns, and someone else taking care of the maintenance. For example, 25-day per year lease – or non-consecutive day bare-boat charter – on a Pursuit DC266 in St. Petersburg, FL has a down payment of $9,585 with $585 monthly payments. (Fewer lease days are available.) Lease terms run from 1 to 4 years. Let us explain why boat leasing or chartering is the wave of the future, contact Greg Sweeney at (727) 200-3474 | gsweeney@BoattestLEASING.com.

Fishing News

Florida Lionfish Challenge Extended

lionfish-080320.png

Lionfish are considered a threatening invasive species.

In Florida, the Lionfish Challenge has been extended to November 1. As of this week, 558 people have registered for the challenge and 113 people have submitted lionfish bringing the total in the program to 4,178. Throughout the state, there are 46 checkpoints for recreational participant submissions.

The program began May and was expected to run through Labor Day. Florida Fish and Wildlife is encouraging the removal of Lionfish from state waters because the species can survive myriad conditions and breed and mature rapidly. They are a voracious predator and can even reportedly move into freshwater. Specifically, they threaten Florida’s coral reefs because Lionfish prey on the fish that maintain healthy reefs.
