Cruisers Yachts Debuts New 50 GLS at Ft. Lauderdale Show
The 50 GLS is powered by triple Mercury 600 Verados and paired with Simrad electronics and joystick docking. The helm’s powered captain's chair and double-wide companion chair allow the family to sit with the captain and enjoy piloting the boat.
Underneath the companion chair is storage or an optional ice maker. However, it’s the dual “beach doors” that grab everyone’s attention. The gunwales lower to become terrasses with a press of a button. A convenient swim ladder makes the boat a giant swim platform.
The 50 GLS’ open-concept cockpit was designed with entertainment in mind. A midships L-shaped seating area inside the coupe, two aft-facing L-shaped seating areas in the cockpit, and additional bench seating create a huge area for a swim party by day and cocktail party in the evening.
The bow seating features a table that is power high-low, JL Audio speakers, chiller box, and trash can. The midships galley has a fiberglass inlay sink, fridge, and storage. There is also an option for a second refrigerator.
The transom area features a standard grill, sink, and storage. For comfort, there is an optional opening sunroof and foredeck shade along with the standard aft deck shade to keep guests out of the sun.
Below Decks
The accommodation level features a forward stateroom, aft sleeping area, and a head. The forward stateroom has a custom queen size berth, hanging locker, 32” Samsung TV, and personal reading lights. There are bulkhead doors for privacy. Above is a skylight and an opening porthole brings in fresh air.
The midships sleeping area has what looks to be a double berth with two facing seats. A filler cushion can be placed to expand the berth area. The lower salon also features a 32” Samsung TV, fridge, and microwave. The 50 GLS head features a sink, toilet, and separate shower stall. Storage is hidden behind the mirror and underneath the sink.
“With the overwhelming success of the adventure-seeking GLS series, we are pleased to announce our biggest yacht in the series with our new 50 GLS. It will make its worldwide debut at the Ft Lauderdale International Boat Show,” stated Dan Zenz, Vice President of Sales at Cruisers Yachts.
