The enclosed skylounge on the Maritimo M64 positions the helm on the upper level along with an L-shaped settee to starboard and aft-facing lounges to port, where guests can sit to chat with the captain and a companion at the helm. At first glance, the Formula 330 Crossover Bowrider’s bow looks pretty typical with wraparound seating and full bolsters. Closer inspection revealed the extra attention the company pays to making the area more versatile. A third forward-facing seat is configured in more of a chair style with the passenger’s feet on the deck instead of extended forward. A removable cushion to starboard creates a second chair-style lounge. A pair of tables turns the bow into an al fresco dining area. At 33’6” (10.21 m) long overall and with an as-tested weight of 16,164 lbs. (7,332 kg), the Everglades 340DC is the type and size of boat that Yamaha had in mind when it created the 425-hp XTO Offshore outboard. The engine wasn’t designed for high-performance applications. It was, however, targeted at large, bluewater boats with multiple outboards. It’s powered by a 5.6-liter V8 powerhead and is engineered with the torque to push a boat like the 340DC.
