Draco D27:

Scandinavian Runabout w/Retro Echoes

draco-d27-072020.jpg

Draco D27

The Draco D27 is a retro-styled runabout bowrider with convertible aft seating in the cockpit and one of the largest bow seating areas in class. She’s powered by a single outboard up to 400 hp and her plumb bow and sharp entry mean the D27 should be able to cut through chop handily. She has a decidedly Scandinavian look and feel. This brand is new to the American market and should appeal to people who spend their summers on lakes and coastal locations who want a boat that is not the same-old, same old, with enduring styling and is something different. Sea Ray SPX 230:

High Value w/Lower Cost

Screen Shot 2020-07-20 at 1.44.27 PM.png

Sea Ray SPX 230

The SPX 230 is the “value-oriented” bowrider built by Sea Ray. She has the same hull, same Quiet Ride sound absorbing construction, same wiring, plumbing and most everything else you can’t see, as does the SLX version. What she doesn’t have are all of the premium features and amenities of the SLX. But she runs just as well. And for people who want to get on the water, yet make it for as little money as possible, this is Sea Ray’s solution. More...

Yamaha 275SD:

Jet Boat with Gravitas

yamaha-275sd-072020.jpg

Yamaha 275SD

With the 275SD, Yamaha wanted to raise the bar for jetboats. First, she is one of the largest in class at 27’ (8.23 m) long and she’s powered by twin supercharged marine engines that make a combined 500 hp and are connected to twin jets. For improved slow-speed handling, our test boat was equipped with Yamaha DRiVE technology and all the onboard systems were controlled by a 12.3” (31.24 cm) Connext touchscreen. Her swim-up stern seating is some of the most innovative we’ve seen with two seats that are actually below the water’s surface. And, her interior is the most luxurious that Yamaha has ever produced. BENETEAU Oceanis 62:

Sailing Yacht for Distance Cruising

beneteau-oceanis62-072020.png

Beneteau Oceanis 62

The Oceanis 62 is designed for the avid sailor who plans to spend lots of time on the water, either on an extended cruise or entertaining friends on day outings. She is equipped with all the gear that a captain needs to sail short-handed and her tall mast and asymmetrical spinnaker can provide good light-air performance. Designers extended her 17’6” (5.33 m) beam all the way to her stern, and that translates to comfortable accommodations for six below decks. More...

Formula 240 Bowrider:

Save $15K and Go Faster

formula-240br-072020.jpg

Formula 240 Bowrider

When we tested the Formula 240 Bowrider, she was powered by a 430-hp MerCruiser 8.2 MAG Bravo III sterndrive, and we recorded a top speed of 53.6 mph. With a 350-hp MerCruiser 6.2L Bravo III, Formula tested a different 240BR at 54.5 mph. Why is this important? Because the 6.2-liter engine package saves an owner approximately $15,420 over the larger engine. It’s also lighter by about 260 lbs. (118 kg.) so it has a better power-to-weight ratio. Best cruise with the 430-hp engine came at 3000 rpm where she got 2.92 mpg and had a range of 157 statute miles. In Formula’s test, the numbers at 3000 rpm were 3.48 mpg and 188 statute miles.
