Fairline Targa 65 GT:

Elegant Yacht w/Inviting Bow

fairline-targa65-021521.jpg

Fairline Targa 65 GT

A sleek express yacht like the Fairline Targa 65 GT is bound to attract guests who enjoy the sun and her bow area is one of the largest, and most inviting, that we’ve seen in class. It has forward-facing backrests on the pilothouse and a table can be installed to enhance the area’s utility when entertaining at rest. The forward flat cushions have hinged backrests that can be used to turn them into comfortable chaise-style lounges. She can be laid out with sleeping accommodations for 10. More...

Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 MKIII:

A Modern Classic by Any Name

Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 MKIII

A quarter-century ago, Hinckley introduced the original Picnic Boat, a Downeast-style yacht that paired a jet drive with a joystick and a traditional Hinckley interior. The design was so popular that other builders started launching models referred to as “Picnic Boats.” As expected, Hinckley’s attorneys, and a judge’s ruling, took care of that. Today, we find the Picnic Boat 37 MKIII is still decked out in shimmering teak with subtle curves and the company’s exceptional build quality. Hinckley says a 370-hp Yanmar jet gives her a top speed of 35 mph. More...

Everglades 435CC:

Downsize to a Premium Fishing Machine

Everglades 435CC

The folks at Everglades have told us on more than one occasion that the 435CC is an attractive alternative to an inboard diesel-powered battlewagon that costs millions of dollars but has virtually all of a gold-plater’s fish fighting abilities. We have to agree. With quad 425-hp Yamaha XTO Offshore outboards, total horsepower is close to a pair of diesel inboards in a larger convertible, but the outboards burn less fuel at comparable planing speeds. Everglades’ RAMCAP construction and 25-degree deadrise provide a solid ride for long offshore runs. More...

Sea-Doo GTI SE 170

On the 2020 GTI SE 170, Sea-Doo lowered the watercraft’s center of gravity by placing the internal storage lower in the hull and positioning the riders lower on the machine. The hull is also 1” (2.54 cm) wider and includes bolt-on sponsons on each side that enhance stability. In addition to improving overall performance, the upgrades make the GTI SE 170 safer and easier to drive. More...

A 5,000-Mile Adventure on a Riviera Yacht

One of the most incredible cruising grounds in the world stretches from Australia’s Great Barrier Reef across the northern coast to the province of Kimberley on the island nation’s northwest coast. John and Jane Edwards spent 9 months on their Riviera 50 Enclosed Flybridge, Voodoo, covering more than 5,000 miles and, best of all, they chronicled the voyage for us. More...
