First Look: Eclipse 505 OB Express
The Eclipse 505 Shadow, an innovative 50’8” (15.44 m) outboard-powered express cruiser, is set to make its world premiere at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Oct. 30-Nov. 3.
She’s built by Two Oceans in Cape Town, South Africa, well-known builder of larger power cats and tough rescue craft.
Designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design, the Eclipse 505 Shadow boasts a sleek profile and performance-enhancing features including a patented SVVT® "Stepped Vee Ventilated Tunnel" hull aimed at increased speed and improved efficiency.
The interiors were designed by UK-based Design Unlimited. The yacht's two-stateroom, two-head layout provides ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The single-level decks, extending seamlessly from the transom through the fully equipped galley, allow for safe, easy movement and a harmonious indoor-outdoor flow for guests.
She’s powered by three Mercury 600 hp V12 Verado’s, which should deliver exceptional performance and reliability—no test numbers are available at present.
