"First Look" at the New Honda V8 350-hp Engine

According to Honda techs, the brand’s new V8 350-hp 5.0 L engine (which was developed specifically as an outboard) gets up to 12% better fuel economy compared to the other two 350s on the market.  That’s a remarkable savings, and our video explains some of the major reasons why Honda's 350 is able to get such good fuel economy. Also important is the fact that the outboard's alternator produces 73 amps for the house battery.  Because of its famous reliability, Honda has always led the outboard industry in a long warranty -- 5 years -- but now has added to that an available extended 3-year, factory-backed, non-declining warranty.
