Galeon 560 SKY:
Flying Bridge Utility, Express Cruiser Style
For those who enjoy the utility and superior visibility from a flying bridge as well as the stylish lines of an express cruiser, the Galeon 560 SKY combines the two with an upper deck that can “disappear” at the touch of a button under the sliding composite laminate roof. She also has a sliding sunroof forward, as can be seen in the image above. In the open position, the bridge offers many of the features of a conventional flybridge. She has a wraparound L seat with storage underneath, a wet bar with an optional refrigerator and a fully-featured helm station with another three forward-facing seats. The starboard front seat has a reversible back so it can convert from forward to aft facing. A small collapsible plexi windscreen is just ahead, and the entire console is collapsible and conceals at the push of a button to accommodate the carbon fiber Skydeck cover. This is the only boat we know of that has this remarkable feature. More...

Sharrow Marine Props
Are Now Available
A Sharrow Marine prop being carved out of a solid aluminum billet.
The Sharrow Propeller™ is now available to consumers and is available in aluminum and stainless-steel which will fit most outboards and sterndrives between 100-hp - 430-hp. Instructions for selecting the correct pitch and diameter for your boat/motor configuration can be found at https://www.sharrowmarine.com.
Now, boat owners who want the latest in high technology for optimum performance can have one made specifically for most applications. The prop – either aluminum or stainless-steel – will be custom-made by a 5-axis router out of a solid billet of aluminum or stainless-steel. This process will make sure that the diameter and pitch meet each application. The props come with a special protection plan.
BoatTEST did extensive testing on this prop last August and September and can verify the claims of Sharrow Marine. The prop is remarkably more fuel efficient and faster than conventional props at virtually all RPM settings. It is particularly more fuel efficient at idle and trolling speeds, where boats typically spend 40% of their operating engine hours. Read our full report...

Nordhavn N60:
Everything a "Distance" Cruiser Should Be
Nordhavn's have become synonymous with long distance cruising. They’ve inspired books on the subject and brought even new boaters around the world. One adventurous couple even did three consecutive circumnavigations back to back on one. While other builders conduct rendezvous to nearby ports, Nordhavn does it to distant continents. It takes a different kind of boat to take on this sort of mission and the N60 brings the best of the ingredients together. Our test video gets a bit technical because of this and spells out exactly what it takes in terms of strength of build, systems redundancy, storage for months at sea and yes... even comfort. So just what does it take to tame oceans...

Hinckley Yachts Sport Boat 40x:
Luxury-Grade Express w/Outboard Power
Hinckley Yachts Sport Boat 40x
Luxury-grade outboard-powered express and dayboats have been on a roll in recent years, thanks in part to production of large, dependable and fuel-efficient outboards. The new Hinckley Yachts Sport Boat 40x is a case in point. She’s a Downeast design riding on a Hunt hull with a 23-degree deadrise. Purpose-built for a rugged offshore environment from epoxy infused carbon-fiber and Kevlar, the 40x was designed specifically for outboard power and is not a warmed-over sterndrive or inboard boat. She comes standard with three 300-hp Mercury Verado outboards but can be upgraded to higher horsepower and even twin Seven Marine outboards. The cabin has sleeping accommodations for four with the conversion of the forward settee into a berth. More...
