Hatteras GT45X Open:
And Then There Were Four...
New Midsize Sportfish/Cruiser
Since Hatteras was purchased by Navis HCY Acquisition LLC in 2013, they have continued to grow both the GT Sportfish line and their lines of large motoryachts. The new Hatteras GT45X Open is the fourth configuration developed by Hatteras. The new model is a well-equipped offshore fishing platform that could also function as a go-anywhere weekend cruiser for the family. She has been designed for bluewater anglers trading up who want the build quality, rugged construction, fishing features and brand recognition of the Hatteras nameplate, as well as those trading down from the expense of operating and maintaining a larger convertible. Below, she includes a full galley and dinette, standup head and shower, and a master stateroom at the bow. A guest stateroom with stacked bunks is optional. Standard power is twin 838-hp Caterpillar C-12.9 diesels, but we tested her with the optional 985-hp cats, which produced a top speed of 36.1 knots. At 1750 rpm and 26.2 knots, she burned 57 gph for a range of about 330 NM. While at a 6.7 knot trolling speed, she burned just 4 gph. More...

Fountaine-Pajot MY 40:
Easy-Riding, 2 Large Staterooms
Some power catamarans have limited space below decks for accommodations, but check out the Fountaine-Pajot MY 40, a French-built cat that offers expansive space both topside and below thanks to her 19’11” (5.96 m) beam. The starboard hull holds a VIP stateroom with a head, and on the port side is the master stateroom with an expansive head. To starboard is a crew cabin with bunks and head that can be a third guest cabin. But the real story of this vessel is topside with lots of real estate for entertaining. There is a lower helm to starboard with companion seating. The twin 370-hp Volvo Penta IPS500s are easy on fuel at displacement speeds. At 1000 rpm and 5.6 knots, she burned just 2 gph in our tests for a range over 900 NM. She can get to port quickly when necessary, with a top speed of 21.3 mph. Her soundproofing keeps things quiet throughout the rpm range, recording just 71 dBa at the helm at WOT. As with most cats, she offers impressive beam stability and an easy ride in choppy seas. Monte Carlo Yachts 70:
Nuvolari Lenard Design
w/Available Custom Interiors
The 2020 version of the Monte Carlo Yachts 70 has been redesigned to expand interior volume, add improved visibility with larger windows, and give an open and airy feel with light-finish tones and high ceilings. Virtually all of the materials and furnishings, as well as many features of the layout, are customizable. This makes it possible for the buyer to have a one-off yacht at a price somewhere near a production model. The carbon fiber hardtop also has been redesigned, increasing the coverage on the flybridge and eliminating a center support to open up the area. She can sleep eight in four elegantly-finished staterooms below deck, including the large owners’ cabin amidships, which has a private entry separate from the three others forward. Formula 45 Yacht:
Style & Panache in a Sporty Express
The Formula 45 Yacht is a premium-grade coupe design with a long list of standards that are options on many in class, including an electric windlass with 200’ (61 m) of chain and polished stainless-steel anchor, built-in central VAC system and 18,000 BTU reverse-cycle air conditioner. An 11.5-kW generator with sound shield and dedicated battery keep the A/C humming. The Formula Guard warranty program gives buyers assurance of keeping almost everything on the yacht in perfect shape for five years from the date of purchase. Twin Volvo Penta IPS600s with joystick control are standard, taking away most potential issues with docking. The signature Formula painted finish, comparable in quality to a luxury automobile, is available in a wide variety of colors and graphics. More...

Absolute Navetta 68:
Thoughtful Features Inside and Out
Yachting is all about fun in the sun, but it’s easy to get too much of a good thing. The Absolute Navetta 68, an eye-catching Italian build, provides optional shade over the large bow lounge, as shown in the photo. She also has a power-shade extension of the hardtop on the flying bridge, which has an integrated sliding sunroof. At the aft deck is a vertical shade tracked into the support stanchions to protect the broad couch across the transom. The full bow not only provides lots of relaxation space up front, but also adds to the space available for the second master en suite below decks — the bath is in the bow. She sleeps eight guests and has quarters for two crew aft. An interesting feature is the magnetic wine glass set provided with each yacht — they not only stay upright and safe on their metal cabinet shelf, but also on the magnetized surface of the dining table, which has a metallic underlayment. Thoughtful touches like this are found throughout the yacht. See our walkthrough here...
