Hatteras GT65 Carolina:
Hardcore Bluewater Sportfisher
Loaded with Creature Comforts
Many hardcore bluewater sportfishing machines are a bit thin on creature comforts because they are not really intended to be used for cruising. But true convertibles – and the new Hatteras GT65 is one – more are also designed for cruising functionality and comfort. She’s an upgrade of the company’s GT63, with a sleeker profile and a larger cockpit. Check out the available finishes in the salon in the photo, complete with a three-stool bar separating the entertainment area from the full galley. Belowdecks, four staterooms and three heads take advantage of the boat’s additional volume. She rides on a resin-infused solid glass hull, with fuel tanks molded in and all the machinery mounted as low as possible to keep her CG down and to reduce roll at rolling speed. Because of this low CG, and because she is intended to be used in rough conditions, she is much better prepared to cruise anywhere than are most motoryachts. More...
