Help Kickstart "Scuttlebutt"

What’s the first thing that goes through any boater’s mind when they get up — Can I go boating today? With Scuttlebutt you can check the conditions on the water with current weather buoy data, wind speeds and direction, Doppler radar to determine perception — all while on your own social network to connect to boating friends and see what they are planning for that day. Scuttlebutt wants you to “Know before you go!” While you’re out on the water, you can share your images, videos and location with friends and report on all the fun things that being on the water offers.

As Scuttlebutt continues to grow with your help, we are going to offer even more information. We'll be adding popular feeds from other boating apps all on your Social App, including where to dock, what’s in the port of call you are going to, the best fuel prices in your area and launch ramps locations. You'll be able to connect with marinas and yacht clubs, join groups, plan events, direct message fellow boaters, list your gear or boat in a marketplace and so much more!
