Formula 40 Performance Cruiser

A Tale of Two Sea States

Formula said it designed the 40 Performance Cruiser with three primary goals. First was to serve as an entertainment platform above and below decks. Second, the Porter family that runs Formula wanted convertible accommodations for an owner and up to five guests: with space for two in the private cabin, two on the convertible lounges aft and one on the main salon sofa. Finally, the company wanted a high-speed weekender that could go from the mainland to a distant location quickly in good weather and not have to worry about a small-craft advisory when coming home. Boston Whaler 380 Outrage

Deep-Vs are Made for High Seas

Regular readers have seen us run the picture above before – we’re partial to it because it was one of the roughest days we’ve ever tested a small boat. (9071.85 kg), which made the 380 Outrage feel like a much larger boat when mashing through the square ones. More...
