MJM 35z:

Outboards Enhance Utility

MJM 35z

When designing the 35z, MJM Yachts says it followed the approach of laying out the boat for the way she’s used 80% of the time and that’s as a day boat for entertaining. MJM has created its own distinctive Downeast-style day boat and the twin outboards maximize her utility by adding space for picnics, cocktail parties and sunset cruises. For a long weekend on the hook, a couple will welcome the forward cabin and galley. More...

Fleming Yachts 85:

New Enclosed Flying Bridge

fleming-85-0308.png

Fleming Yachts 85

The new Fleming 85 is the first motoryacht from the company with a fully enclosed flying bridge. When an owner chooses this configuration, there are three captain’s chairs plus a lounge and a table on a raised platform in the enclosed pilothouse. The views are spectacular, and this station is the only full helm on the 85. For those dithering over weather to order one of these new long-range motoryachts, then our suggestion is to quickly reserve a place in line. Fleming already has a waiting list and can only build a few each year. She will be a classic and out-live most of the Baby Boomers drawn to her. More...

Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht:

Premium Skylounge Can Multi-Task

Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht

The Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht has a place in the SMY series between 50’ (15.24 m) and 68’ (20.73 m). She’s designed to blend the sportier, aggressive lines and bluewater capabilities of a sportfishing boat with the amenities of a cruising motoryacht. She has an enclosed flying bridge and Riviera expects the yacht to be favored by owner/operators. Belowdecks, she can be laid out with three or four cabins including a full-beam master stateroom. Palm Beach 70:

Strong Performance w/Inboards

palmbeach-70-0308.jpg

Palm Beach 70

We’ve raved about the cruise performance and handling of the Palm Beach 70. She’s offered with inboards turning straight shafts or IPS pods, and while the company says most buyers have gone with Volvo Penta IPS pod propulsion, presumably for their low-speed maneuverability, we were more than impressed with her handling around the docks with inboards. Reason being, the twin Volvo Penta 1,000-hp inboards combine with a Twin Disc joystick that links the main engines with the bow and stern thrusters to provide total command around the dock for less cost than the pod option. The extra power also gives the Palm Beach 70 a top speed that exceeds 30 knots. More...

Cruisers 35 Express:

Express Yacht Maximizes Space

cruisers-35express-0308.png

Cruisers 35 Express

Cruisers Yachts’ 35 Express is designed to optimize the available space in this sleek-looking yacht. To that end, the cockpit has a large wraparound lounge that can convert from an aft-facing bench to a flat cushion for catching rays. There’s also a chaise style lounge alongside the helm position. The wetbar features a sink, refrigerator and ice maker. Belowdecks, her mid-cabin was designed to be open and connected to the salon so passengers in each area can carry on a conversation – or to be a sleeping cabin with a privacy curtain. More...
