Monte Carlo Yachts’ MCY 76 Skylounge is First Yacht Equipped with Assisted Docking System

Thanks to Raymarine’s DockSense Alert, the MCY 76 Skylounge becomes that much easier to pull into a slip.

Monte Carlo Yachts has become the first motoryacht manufacturer to install Raymarine’s DockSense Alert system on its latest model, the MCY 76 Skylounge. The system provides the yacht with object recognition and motion-sensing docking assistance. The manufacturer says the technology “empowers captains to maneuver tight quarters and dock with confidence.”

By Request

DockSense Alert was installed on the MCY 76 Skylounge at the owner’s request. Raymarine worked with MCY personnel to develop a five-camera system that provides the helmsman with better situational awareness. It improves the captain’s visibility around the boat and provides audio and visual alerts that tell him/her when the vessel is close to an object, simplifying the docking experience. DockSense Alert is integrated into the Raymarine Axiom XL multifunction displays at the MCY 76 Skylounge’s helm.

Anything that facilitates docking a 76’ (23.16 m) yacht instantly makes the boat that much more attractive to a potential buyer.

“We are committed to making yachting safer and more enjoyable for everyone on board,” Gregoire Outters, general manager for FLIR Systems’ Raymarine brand business. “The Docksense Alert docking assistant is a new category of innovation for the yachting industry and we are excited to work with Monte Carlo Yachts.”

DockSense Alert systems are available for boat manufacturers to install on new models.
