Monterey Launches New Center Console Line

Florida, US-based fiberglass boat builder Monterey Boats celebrated the company’s 40th anniversary in style at its recent dealer meeting by debuting its first center console model.
The all-new Monterey Elite 30 is described as offering “unparalleled comfort, state-of-the-art features and exceptional versatility,” according to the firm. While Monterey has long manufactured a full range of center console product under its Blackfin Boats sister brand, that product line targets serious saltwater anglers, it says, where the new Monterey Elite product will focus on family day boating with an emphasis on style and luxury.
Measuring 30ft in overall length and rated to accommodate twin 300hp outboards, the Monterey Elite 30 – and its forthcoming Elite 27 stablemate – represents a departure for the Monterey brand, which to date has competed in the premium sector with luxury bowrider product from 20ft-39ft in length powered by either outboard or sterndrive engines.
The new vessel is said to stand out in the competitive center console segment on the strength of a stylish and sleek design with premium finishes, according to Monterey Boats co-chair, Charles Marshall, including an innovative interior layout and luxurious amenities like a fully digital helm with a 15-inch Simrad ultra-wide multi-function display, C-Zone digital switching and premium audio system options. Retail pricing is expected to begin just over US$200,000.
The family-owned boatbuilder also revealed a new logo in celebration of its 40th anniversary, reflecting a cleaner, more contemporary look in keeping with the new product on display.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary with the introduction of a new logo and the Elite Series,” said Marshall. “These new developments symbolize our journey over the past four decades and our unwavering commitment to providing our customers with the best boating experience possible. This model represents the pinnacle of our design and engineering capabilities, and we are confident it will exceed the expectations of even the most discerning boaters.”
