Nautical Ventures Named U.S. “Dealer of the Year”
Nautical Ventures Group was named the 2024 Dealer of the Year at the Boating Industry awards gala in Charlotte, NC, on January 22, 2025.
After breaking into the Top 20 dealers several years ago, Nautical Ventures quickly climbed the ranks of the Top Dealers quickly. Boating Industry said, “Nautical Ventures had impressive results again and again, paired with goals and ambitions for continuous improvement in all areas of its business.”
Included under the Nautical Ventures banner are eight retail dealerships, one rental operation, two full-service marinas, one rigging facility, one warehouse, a Cruise Ship division, The Weekly Fisherman Radio Show, Northstar Americas RIB Distribution, an Electric Boat Division, a Yacht Division, a Watersports Division, and a Sailboat Division. The company prides itself on being a single-source recreational marine supplier to the Florida marine marketplace, as well as to North, Central & South America, and to the Caribbean.
Nautical Ventures has dealerships in Ft. Lauderdale, Dania Beach, North Palm Beach, Sarasota, Stuart, Tampa and the Florida Panhandle.
Electric A-Go-Go
Nautical Ventures has been a pioneer in promoting electric boats to the South Florida boating public. Among the brands it represents are AlfaStreet Yachts, Ax/E (Axopar’s electric outboard boat), Ingenity, an electric pontoon boat, and Vision Marine outboard electric motors, as well as its full line of electrically-powered boats. Nautical Ventures also has a whole room at the Miami Boat Show devoted exclusively to electric boats and motors.

The dealership also sells at least 10 brands of powerboats, including Axopar, Fairline, Beneteau, Wellcraft, Edgewater, Starcraft, Sea Prop, Carolina Skiff, Polycraft and Whaly.
Company CEO Roger More said that by offering boats form the 10’ Whaly all the way to the 68’ Fairline, he has a boat type, size and price to fit almost any budget.

Sailboats for South Florida
Nautical Ventures goes both ways, and has sailboats, as well, offering Beneteau sailboats, Nautor Swan, Xcess, Tiwal and Hobie cats. Nautor Swan makes the most prestigious sailboats in the world, and Beneteau is the largest builder of cruising and racing sailboats. Tiwal makes inflatable sailboats, and those, along with Hobie cats make ideal entry-level vessels. Excess builds cruising cats.

Yacht Toys and Kayaks
In Ft. Lauderdale, Nautical Ventures has a whole showroom exclusively devoted to yacht toys of all sizes and types. Most notable among its brands are Seabob and Fliteboard. In addition, Nautical Ventures represents 9 brands of kayaks, so has the field covered from cruising to fishing to entry-level kayaks at all price points.

Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman’s Show
It is very unusual for a boat dealership also to have a radio show, but Nautical Ventures has one that is hosted by our own BoatTEST Captain, Eric Brandon. The program has aired for the last 17 years from 6 to 8am every Saturday morning, -- broadcast from Miami. The unique feature of the program is that it gets in touch with charter fishing captains out on the water so they can radio in what the fishing conditions are, as well as the sea state and suggestions on where to fish.
The Top Dealers portion of the Top 100 Awards is the only independent ranking of boat dealers in North America.
