Nautique Launches the Nautique Water Ski World Series
PRESS RELEASE
Nautique announced the launch of the Nautique Water Ski World Series presented by GM Marine, marking a pivotal moment in the evolution of competitive waterskiing. Created in collaboration with respected leaders across the global waterski community, the Series represents the most comprehensive and prestigious competition structure ever established for three-event waterskiing. With one of the largest prize purses in the sport’s history, this groundbreaking initiative brings unprecedented opportunity to elite athletes worldwide.
The Nautique Water Ski World Series features five stops and includes all three traditional events, with athletes earning points based on their performance at each tournament. Serving as the primary qualifying pathway for an invitation to the sport’s most iconic event—the Nautique Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament, presented by GM Marine—the Series highlights the world’s top Professional and Senior athletes while advancing Junior development to foster the sport’s future. Every aspect of the Series is designed to place athletes at the forefront, honoring the passion and performance that define waterskiing’s heritage.
Advancing the Future of Three-Event Waterskiing
Nautique Boat Company is taking an active role in shaping the future of the sport by creating a structure that supports Junior, Pro, and Senior-level competitors. As part of the Series updates:
- The Junior division now includes athletes under 21, expanding opportunities for younger skiers to compete at an elite level.
- The Senior division, exclusive to slalom within ProAm events, features Men’s Senior competitors aged 35 and older and Women’s Senior competitors 45 and older, increasing accessibility and recognition across generations.
These advancements broaden the sport’s competitive landscape and reinforce Nautique’s commitment to long-term athlete development.
Record Prize Purse and Athlete Support
With a total prize purse exceeding $465,000 and equal distribution across all events, the Nautique Water Ski World Series stands among the most lucrative competitions in three-event waterskiing. An additional $50,000 will be awarded to the Series’ Pro Champions, further highlighting Nautique’s dedication to rewarding world-class performance.
Junior Series Champions will earn scholarships and waived entry fees for the 2027 Masters, helping elevate emerging talent. Senior Series Champions will receive an exclusive VIP weekend at the 2027 Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament, celebrating their accomplishments alongside the sport’s finest athletes.
Nautique expressed gratitude to its valued partners—GM Marine, PCM Marine Engines, Eagle Wetsuits, ZeroOff, Masterline, Syndicate Waterskis, and JL Audio—whose support helped bring the Series to life.
