Pacific PowerBoat Magazine is excited to continue our series on the build process of the Bill Upfold-designed Elite 22M Flybridge Motor Yacht. Currently under construction at Weber Marine in Gulf Harbour, Auckland, this journey takes us from initial concept discussions with the owner to its on-water launch and culminates in a detailed review scheduled for late 2026.

The Hull

With the hull windows now cut out, the exterior hull build and fairing is complete, and a coat of Interprotect undercoat has been applied.

At the stern, the boarding platform is now in place.

Midship, the integral fuel tanks have been completed and lids added, and are now awaiting pressure testing.

Further forward, the cabin sole is in position, and the forward bulges have been painted.

The Deck

Externally, the first stage of deck construction is now complete, and the structure has been handed over to the fairing team.

Inside, the window mullions are in place to support the cabin top, and the temporary interior framing has now been removed.
