Aquila 54 Yacht Power Catamaran

Luxury Yacht w/Express Lines

For the Aquila 54 Yacht Power Catamaran, the key word in the rather long model name is “Yacht.” The builder, and its exclusive dealer MarineMax, surveyed customers and found they wanted more luxurious appointments, such as those found on a premium yacht, and they wanted to see lines that more closely resembled express cruisers. The 54 Yacht Power Catamaran doesn’t have the boxy look of other power cats. Instead, she has a more swept appearance, along with a more traditional bow overhang. Inside, her salon has no fiberglass showing to give the feel of a luxurious monohull motoryacht. More...

Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence

Day Boat w/Adaptable Gathering Areas

For the 45 Divergence, Ocean Alexander called on its vast experience with larger yachts, creating flexible aft and forward seating options. Aft, a bench folds out of the transom and the forward seat has a flip-flop backrest. A table rises out of the deck to convert the area into an al fresco dinette. Forward, the triple-wide lounge seat is built into the trunk cabin and there’s another table that can be lowered to create a sunpad with filler cushions. More...

Why Are Brokerage

Commissions So High?

Real estate commissions on standard houses are generally 6%. On houses priced over $2 million, they are more likely to be just 5%. So why, then, are brokerage commissions on boats twice as high? Here's the answer...

Bennington R Bowrider Series

Pontoon Boat w/Proven Bottom Design

Bennington lowered the forward seating area on its new R Bowrider Series, creating a low-profile look and feel with the 26’ 6.5” (8.09 m) pontoon boat. One thing Bennington didn’t change is the V-Hull Performance package that features a center pontoon with a V-shape on the bottom and at the bow and lifting strakes on the outer pontoons. More...

Boating Safety

A Collision Can Ruin Your Whole Day

In 2019, the #1 type of boating accident was collision. There were 1,071 reported, resulting in 650 injuries and 47 deaths, according to the USCG statistics. That means there were at least 47 tragedies, all of which could have been avoided if all parties involved had observed COLREGS “Rule #5.” To find out what Rule #5 is, and to see a remarkably well-produced video on exactly how to avoid collisions and tragedy, click below.

Triton 18 TrX

Equipped for Safer Driving

We have discussed these features before, but we’d like to remind you of it. Things happen fast at 69.5 mph, especially in an 18’8” (5.68 m) bass boat like the Triton 18 TrX. That’s why it’s worth noting that Triton includes a Hot Foot throttle and Pro Trim turn-signal style trim switch on the helm as standard equipment. This means the driver can keep two hands on the steering wheel while he tries to outrun fellow anglers to the hottest spot on the lake. Now about that port console. Companions would appreciate being standard, too. More...
