Because of stricter restrictions enacted by the German government as of December 28, 2021, Boot Düsseldorf, one of the largest European boat shows, is being canceled in 2022. This is the second year in a row that the event has been called off.
Show organizer Messe Düsseldorf supported the decision. “The pandemic must be overcome as quickly as possible so that the trade fair industry can once again have planning security for exhibitors and visitors,” said Wolfram N. Diener, president and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf. “It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have to announce that boot will not take place in January 2022. However, the decision of the state government is also in line with the wishes of many exhibitors who are very worried about participating in boot during the Omicron wave.”
