VirtualBOATSHOW.com

Deck boats are a desirable alternative to pontoon boats for boaters who want a large crowd aboard, as they often have a greater USCG carrying capacity than toons. Generally, their freeboard is not as high as that of a bowrider, so they’re best suited to protected water. VirtualBOATSHOW.com has over 100 deck boats, both new and used on display. Sea Ray SDX 250 OB:

Deckboat w/a Day Cabin

searay-sdx250-ob-042720.png

Sea Ray SDX 250 OB

It’s easy to call a deckboat versatile, but Sea Ray’s SDX 250 OB just may outshine the competition with something unexpected – a cabin. A door next to the helm opens to what we expected would be a small private head compartment. There is an area with a portable toilet, but Sea Ray expanded the space forward under the bow seats and to starboard under the helm console. A 5’ (1.24 m) long berth pad can be used to create a ventilated space for the kids to nap. Convertible seating in the cockpit can be set in multiple positions. Storage space to port measures more than 7’ (2.13 m) long. With a 300-hp Mercury outboard, she tops out at 46.9 mph. More...

Regal LS6 Surf:

“Yacht Certified” Wake Boat

regal-ls6-surf-042720.png

The cockpit of the Regal LS6 Surf.

For the 26'4" (8.02 m) LS6 Surf, Regal Marine knew it had to provide lots of versatile seating because wakesurfing is a group activity. By exceeding 26' (7.9 m), Regal entered the boat into what is considered by the USCG, the “yacht” category, so it does not have to meet the person-carrying limits set for boats below 26' (7.9 m). That means, you'll come to the party for wake surfers – within reason, of course. The cockpit was designed with 6" (15.24 cm) more interior beam, 15 percent more seating space and 17 percent more storage compared to similarly-sized sterndrive bowriders. The head compartment has the same space as the company’s 2800 bowrider. In addition to the sheer capacity, the LS6 Surf’s seating is versatile with convertible backrests and rumble seats in the stern, plus an inviting bow. More...

Boston Whaler 190 Montauk:

A Legendary Center Console, Mark II

bostonwhaler-190montauk-042720.png

The Boston Whaler 190 Montauk’s dash panel has a cutout so the throttle can be fully advanced.

Few manufacturers would pay as much attention to the small details on a 19’ (5.79 m) boat as Boston Whaler did when it re-designed and re-engineered the 190 Montauk. She is an all-new boat with the same name and length as the classic version. Of all the changes, the most important is the bottom design, which provides a far more comfortable ride than before. Looking at the helm, the VHF radio and its microphone are mounted high on the panel. No more kicking the unit or the cord. Underneath, if a captain wants to stand up while driving, there’s toe clearance under the console. The boat comes packaged with a galvanized trailer and 115-hp Mercury outboard. More...

Massachusetts Sets Boating Guidelines

massachusetts-opening.png

When launching, boaters need to clear the ramp area quickly and follow social distancing guidelines.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts released guidelines Tuesday for boating and other marine activities during the stay-at-home advisory. Ramps will remain open subject to available parking. Once a ramp is full, it is considered closed. Boaters must abide by these rules or the facilities and their access to the water will be closed, so it is imperative that they be vigilant and encourage others to do the same. More...

Sea Ray SLX 310

BoattestLEASING is now looking for late-model, premium boats from 26’ to 35’ (7.92 m to 10.66 m) to lease to like-minded boaters in the eastern U.S. Boat Leasing is now trending strongly, given the times we live in. Boats are a safe and healthy way for a family to have fun outside and at the same time maintain social distancing. By leasing unused days in a boat, owners are utilizing a valuable asset for a financial return on the investment. BoatTEST’s leasing program helps boat owners pay down their boat loan, as well as to cover a portion of annual operating costs. To find out more, contact General Manager Greg Sweeney at 727-200-3474 or [email protected].
