Capable Performer in Challenging Conditions
While bad weather kept us from getting good performance numbers for Cruisers Yachts triple-outboard powered 42 GLS, it gave us a better feel for her handling in less-than-ideal conditions. Beam seas let us increase speed and she remained level as we busted through waves. She also maintained a proper attitude in following seas. On the R23, Tigé designed a patented convex-V hull that curves up toward the transom with a continuous rocker, similar to surfboards and wakeboards. The theory is that this keeps flow attached so it can be directed as the boat is trimmed and ballasted. Now add in the manufacturer’s TAPS system and the driver has more ability to shape wakes.
