Galeon Yachts is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the debut of the new 375 GTO at the third edition of the Polboat Yachting Festival. The show will be held at Marina Yacht Park in Gdynia, Poland, July 21-24.

In addition to the new 375 GTO, the builder’s other models at Poland’s biggest boat show will include the 325 GTO, 400 Fly, 510 Sky, 500 Fly, 510 Sky and 640 Fly.

Sunreef, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, will exhibit a 60 Sunreef Power, and will host the opening ceremony a year after a Sunreef 80 sailing catamaran performed the same role. The gala at Marina Yacht Park, owned by the PHN Group, usually features leading figures from the Polish yachting industry along with state and local government officials.

Among Polish brands, Cobrey will display three vessels including its flagship 50, Vulcan Yachts will debut the JP 47, Balt Yachts will show its SunCamper 35 and Northman will exhibit its 1200. International brands exhibiting include Bavaria (Germany) and Rio (Italy).

World Leader in Manufacturing

As a country, Poland is a world leader in the production of small motorboats and is home to many shipyards that build for international companies, so sub-33’ (10 m) boats will be the dominant sector at the show.

The event is held at Marina Yacht Park in Gdynia.

Parker Poland will show four models, while U.S. brands include Bayliner and Malibu. Sweden will be represented by Nimbus and Windy and Finnish brands include Saxdor and Flipper. Slovenia’s Alfastreet, which produces most of its boats in Poland, will also be on hand.

Sailing yachts include a Hanse 458, Dehler 420 and a Jacht 2020 by local shipyard Pro-Air, while the Legia yacht formerly owned by Colonel Ryszard Kukliński and the royal yacht Norn VI will be among unique sailing vessels on display.

One of the highlights of the 2022 show was the Sunreef 80 catamaran.

Diverse Displays

Houseboats will again be on display with and exhibitors including La Mare from Bydgoszcz and Nomadream, which will feature the 1200 Double Decker unit. Tents on the waterfront area will packed with exhibitors offering sailing and motorboat accessories, navigation equipment and clothing, plus financing and insurance for boats.

Other luxury industries will be represented by Mercedes-Benz cars from BMG Goworowski, motorhomes and exclusive clothes from Tailors Club, while Pomeranian Voivodeship will host a special relaxation zone.

Activities include the Gdynia Polboat Awards Gala at the Courtyard by Marriott Gdynia Waterfront hotel on the evening of July 21, the show’s first day. The judges consist of designer Jacek Centkowski and Yachtsmen.eu editor Stanisław Iwiński for boats on display. Singer Olga Barej will perform before the event followed by the Inter Cars – Exide Cocktail Party.

Boat manufacturers from around the globe will be on display.

A Yacht & Jazz Festival at the Super Yachts Club within Marina Yacht Park is planned for the second day, while Galeon will celebrate its 40th anniversary on day three.

Busy Schedule

The four-day event will include displays of flyboards, water scooters, Hobie kayaks, Awake electric surfboards and water-rescue performances. There will also be opportunities to meet yachting figures including sailor Jurand Goszczyński and Captain Roman Paszke.

The #Become_a_Boater campaign, organised with the Aktywnie i Zdrowo Foundation and Pro-Air, will be held on the Saturday and Sunday. It offers guests a free cruise on a sailing or powerboat and an introduction to life on the water.

Personal watercaft are popular at boat shows around the world.

Industry discussion topics will include the development of education for the yachting industry, yacht investments, communication systems or the problem of ocean pollution.

The Polboat Yachting Festival is organized by Polboat (Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports).
