Monte Carlo Yachts 76:
Semi-Custom Yacht as You Like It
The Monte Carlo Yachts 76 is a semi-custom four-stateroom yacht that can be designed largely to the buyer’s taste, thanks to the monocoque construction. This allows for a wide range of layouts and extensive choices in colors, fabrics, woods and finishes – and fast construction. The flying bridge is one of the largest in class and can be ordered in an open version or as a fully-enclosed and climate-controlled sky salon. The model we tested even had a hideaway piano! The bow, accessed easily from the Portuguese bridge, will likely be a center for entertaining. Two solid wood electric pedestal tables here can be lowered to create large sun lounges, and a Bimini supported by carbon fiber stanchions can be added in minutes. More...

Hanse Yachts Fjord 52 Open:
Supersized Dayboat for Overnight Cruising
When a dayboat is enlarged sufficiently to be able to have a tender garage, a hydraulic swim platform, twin or triple diesel inboards, two double-sleeping cabins, full on-deck galley, an elegant dining table for six and an open deck made for day and night entertaining, you’d have to refer to her as a yacht. Fjord calls the 52 Open their flagship, and we should add that it is one the builder can be proud of. She is a good example of the new breed of full-function dayboats coming out of Europe these days, which are primarily designed for daytime entertaining of all sorts, with weekending accommodations. Whereas at one time American powerboat designs were emulated in Europe, today the trend to every larger dayboat is coming to the U.S. from Europe. More...

Yamaha 195 FSH Sport:
Jet CC for Fishing/Messing About
The Yamaha 195 FSH Sport is an unusual combination of jet-drive power with a center console design and plenty of fishing features. She includes multiple rod holders and racks, casting platforms forward and aft, a livewell and washdown. She has a 16” (40.64 cm) draft at rest, and probably a bit less on plane thanks to the jet drive, linked to Yamaha’s powerful 1.8-liter SVHO supercharged engine, allowing her to run safely on the edge of the flats. The absence of an exposed propeller makes her safer for watersports, which she also welcomes with the double-tiered swim platform area aft. Yamaha accessory packages can add ballast tanks and other wakesports gear. More...

Ranger 2300LS:
Fully-Equipped Premium Tri-toon
w/Electric Bimini
The Ranger 2300LS is a luxury-grade pontoon boat with many upscale features. She includes LED running lights, a rear-view camera and console monitor, an electrically-actuated Bimini, woven PC mesh deck coverings and a sensor that warns the driver when the swim ladder is deployed. Forward and aft entry gates are stainless-steel rather than aluminum, and the railings and tri-toons are powder-coat painted for long-term good looks and corrosion prevention. The plush-upholstered helm seat slides forward and back, swivels, reclines, and has an armrest that folds up on both sides for better egress. She has seating for 12, and her top speed with the maximum 250-hp Mercury Verado was 42.3 mph. More...

Everglades 340DC:
Premium DC Ready for Overnights
The Everglades 340DC is the only dual console made by this builder. Nevertheless, she is an excellent example of the breed, in our opinion. Her build quality from stem-to-stern is top-tier, which is how Everglades positions all of its boats in the market. Her fiberglass hardtop is standard, and note that it is joined at the windshield header so there is no need for a strip of isinglass between the two. Her high windshield provides full standing headroom and superb forward visibility. This is the hallmark of good design and rugged construction, because the windshield structure is able to take the G-forces of the hardtop experienced in hard offshore work. It also makes the helm deck, dry and cozy all the time. The head is large and has a shower. To port, there is a small cabin that is suitable for a nap or an escape for young children. Fold-out transom seats, a huge bowrider area up front with stowable café table, and a mini galley provide entertaining amenities. See our full review here...
