Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence:
Day Yacht for the New Generation
There are a lot of dayboats on the market these days, but many of the more traditional ones are really more suited to old fuddy-duddies. Ocean Alexander is seeking a different clientele for its new 45 Divergence – one more comfortable along the south coast of France, or perhaps Miami, or even Nantucket in the summertime, but definitely not in stodgy Maine ports of call. She is a fully-equipped, luxury-grade day yacht that is ready for entertaining, cruising, or watersports, and she is the smallest boat built by Ocean Alex. Obviously, the port and starboard fold-out balconies grab attention, but they also add functionality to the boat. Note the teak decking throughout and the premium two-tone couch seating, with color-matched quad 350-hp Mercury Verado outboards. She topped out at 46.5 mph in our tests. More...

Sailfish 220 CC:
High Freeboard w/Family-Friendly Options
The Sailfish 220 CC has a robust build with more freeboard than many open boats in this LOA. Her build incorporates cored materials with carbon fiber and Kevlar reinforcement, to save weight and add strength in vital areas. Her weight is 4,450 lbs. (2,018 kg), making her readily-trailerable behind mid-size and larger tow vehicles. Her first mission is clearly fishing outside the inlet or on larger bays. But by ordering family-friendly options like the Porta-Potti, ski-tow bar, front cushion/sun pad package, movable table, chaise-type swing-out backrests and the jumpseat aft, she can be converted to a seaworthy dayboat to entertain friends and family with watersports, harbor-hopping or gunk-holing. She gets 4.7 mpg at a cruise of 22.9 mph with the 200-hp Yamaha 4-cylinder engine. Top speed was 46.2 mph in our tests. More...

Outer Reef 610 Motoryacht:
Semi-Custom Long-Ranger
w/Lavish Teak Joinery
The Outer Reef 610 Motoryacht is a long-range cruiser offering extensive customization both inside and out to suit the requests of customers. And, for those who love teak, Outer Reef can supply it. The model we tested had satin-finished teak joinery work throughout, including the pilothouse seen in the photo above. Note that even the 30” (76 cm) wheel, windshield frames and the pantograph side door are finished in teak. The elevated helm seat gives the operator a good view over the bow, shared with those sitting on the L-shaped couch at the dinette just aft. Teak stairways with holly accents to port go up to the flying bridge and down to the accommodations level. She’s a long-ranger: at about 10 knots, the twin 750-hp John Deere’s provided a range of over 830 NM, jumping up to about 1,285 NM at 1000 rpm and 7.9 knots. More...

Aviara AV32:
Premium Class Dayboat w/European Flair
The Aviara AV32 is a premium-class dayboat with a distinctively European flair, though she’s built in the USA. With the swim platform at the same level as the deck and acting as an extension of the cockpit, she offers an added 3’10” (1.16 m) of lounging and entertaining space aft. The pop-up stool shown here is optional. The pass-through aft is to starboard, accessing a wet bar in the cockpit. Forward, the pass-through at the console is on the port side, allowing a conversation pit or a lunch spot up front for multiple guests. A hardtop with LED lights and speakers is standard, and there’s an electric-flush head and sink in the console. She’s available with twin Ilmor 380-hp sterndrives, as in the model we tested, or with twin outboards, both with standard joystick control. More...

TRACKER® Pro Guide™ V-165 WT:
Easy-to-Tow Aluminum Dual Console
The Pro Guide V-165 WT is compact enough, at 21' (6.4 m) including the standard single axle trailer with swing-away tongue, to fit into most garages. With a package weight of just 2,884 lbs. (1,290 kg), she’s easy to tow behind mid-size vehicles. But she has the freeboard it takes to fish larger lakes. The all-welded aluminum hull is built to handle pulling up on a gravel beach for a shore lunch, and the baked-on powder-coat painted finishes should look like new for years. She has livewells forward and aft, including a lift-out bucket for minnows and leeches on the aft casting deck. We tested her with the optional 115-hp Mercury FourStroke, which pushed her to a top speed of 42.7 mph. Including the standard 90 Mercury FourStroke outboard, Minn Kota® PowerDrive™ 55-lb. (24.9 kg) thrust troller, Lowrance® HOOK2 5x sonar/GPS and trailer, she’s priced at $24,595. More...
