SiriusXM Marine Offering Rebates for Fish Mapping
Through the end of March, you can get up to $175 in rebates for Simrad and Lowrance, and up to $200 in rebates for Furuno receivers that will be compatible with Fish Mapping when it launches this spring on these brands. In addition to a $100 rebate from SiriusXM Marine, Furuno is offering an additional $100 off on its BBWX4 receiver and Simrad and Lowrance are taking $75 off their WM-4 receiver. SiriusXM Marine Fish Mapping provides subscribers with fishing data from oceanographers, including recommended areas to fish by species. In addition, weed line locations are updated every 24 hours. Sea-surface front strengths show the biggest points of change in water temperature and plankton data indicates areas where food that bait fish feed on is most plentiful while sea-surface height anomalies locate upwelling areas. To find deep-water hunters, the system provides water temperatures 100’ (30.48 m) down. For maximum utility, the user can layer the elements. More...

The 2008 Hatteras 60GT, Ty Me Up, is located in Stuart, Fla., and was updated in 2020 with new raw-water pumps, an overhauled ice chipper and service to the water maker and air conditioning systems. She also had the props scanned, the shafts aligned and the bottom painted during that service. Her CAT C32A engines have 2,600 hours on them and push the boat to a top speed of more than 40 knots with a cruise of 33. The engines had their 1,000-hour service done in 2019.
