In addition to being a freestanding unit, the SunLift SLX series can be used in water depths as shallow as zero inches beneath the hull or skeg, according to Sunstream.

Sunstream Boat Lifts of Kent, Wash., has a new freestanding hydraulic boat lift, the SunLift SLX series. The lift has a heavy-duty frame, adjustable-width bunks, stainless-steel cylinders and hoses and the highest lifting range of any hydraulic lift on the market, according to the manufacturer.

Market Innovations

Sunstream introduced its first hydraulic freestanding boat lift 25 years ago. The new SunLift SLX is made for use in fresh or saltwater with stainless-steel cylinders and chew-proof braided stainless-steel hoses. It also has Sunstream’s patented cylinder boot, lubricated bronze bushings and rubber-capped aluminum SuperBunks. The company claims its advanced pressure-balanced hydraulic pump is 30% more efficient, uses less battery power, quieter and doesn’t lose capacity over time.

The new SunLift SLX has a clean, straightforward design.

The SunLift SLX also features Sunstream’s SoftStop technology that lets the boat come to a smooth stop, in the over-center locked position. The management system slows the hydraulics at the top of the stroke. The frame has the lifting cylinders aligned with the arms and side beams, which takes the motion out of the leg socket.

An optional Bluetooth control system that works with the remote-control key fob and a smartphone app to provide lift data and diagnostics. It also provides single-touch lift control.
